Backups: Protect Your Metadata

Why Use Backups?

Before running a bulk update or making significant changes to your metadata, it's a good practice to create a backup. Seokai's backup feature saves a snapshot of all your current meta fields that you can restore at any time.

Creating a Backup

Go to Settings → Backups and click Generate Backup. The system will create a snapshot of all your current metadata. You can see the backup in the history list with its creation date and file size.

Restoring a Backup

Select any previous backup from the history list and click Restore. You'll be asked to confirm before the restore begins. The restore process runs in the background and you'll be notified when it completes.
