SEO Optimization: Generate Meta Tags for Products, Collections, Pages & Articles

Overview

Seokai's SEO Optimization module is the core of the app. It lets you generate high-quality meta titles, meta descriptions, keywords, SEO tags, and even rewrite product or collection titles and descriptions — all powered by AI.

Supported Content Types

The module supports four Shopify entity types: Products, Collections, Pages, and Articles (blog posts). Each type has its own tab inside the SEO Optimization section.

How to Optimize a Product

Step 1: Navigate to SEO Optimization

From the Seokai dashboard, click SEO Optimization in the left sidebar. You'll see tabs for Products, Collections, Pages, and Articles.

Step 2: Select a Product

Browse or search the list of products synced from your Shopify store. Click on any product to open its detail view.

Step 3: Generate Fields

On the product detail page, you'll see all generatable fields: Meta Title, Meta Description, Meta Keywords, SEO Tags, Product Title, and Product Description. Click the Generate button next to any field to create AI-optimized content.

Step 4: Review & Apply

Review the generated content. You can manually edit it if needed. Once satisfied, click Save to push the changes to your Shopify store. You can also discard changes click Revert and regenerate.

Image Alt Text

For products, Seokai can also generate alt text for your product images — including the featured image and up to 10 additional product images. This improves accessibility and image SEO.

SEO Score

Each product receives an SEO score based on the completeness and quality of its metadata. Use the Statistics page to track your top-scoring and low-scoring products.
