Internal linking
Internal linking is the practice of linking from one page on your site to another page on the same site. It helps visitors find their way around and helps search engines discover your pages and gauge how they relate.

Internal links do double duty. For people, they guide the journey: from a blog post to the product it mentions, from a collection to a buying guide, from a cart to a shipping policy. For search engines, they map how pages connect, help crawlers find new content, and pass authority around your site. The clickable text, the anchor, matters too; "merino wool socks" tells a search engine more about the destination than "click here" ever could.
In a Shopify store, the pages you most want to rank, key collections and hero products, should be easy to reach in a couple of clicks and linked to from relevant spots. A post like "How to choose running shoes" can link to the running shoe collection and a few standout models. That sends shoppers toward purchase and tells Google those product pages are important. Pages buried with no links pointing to them, sometimes called orphan pages, are easy for both users and crawlers to miss.
Keep it natural and useful. Link where a reader would genuinely want to go next rather than cramming in links for their own sake, and use descriptive anchor text so the purpose of each link is obvious.
